|
Financial Reporting and Analysis Status of Funds Internet Edition, known as SOFiE, is a Web-based tool for providing advanced financial reporting and analysis functionality to government clients. Now considered the de facto standard financial reporting system for NIH, SOFiE gives organizations distributed budgeting and planning tools, custom budget category views, drill-downs for detailed spending analysis, and a powerful Excel interface. SOFiE's Excel interface allows for the development of spreadsheets using custom functions that extract real-time expenditure, budget, and planning data from the SOFiE databases. What does this mean? For agency budget and administrative officers, it means the difference between spending valuable work time seeking necessary information and having it at their fingertips in a practical, accessible format. |
Workforce Administration and Management Employee Database Internet Edition, or EDiE, is a Web-based application that enables government clients to use workforce information for the benefit of managers and employees. For example, EDiE makes effective use of organizational and personnel data to help agencies plan and manage their workforce responsibilities. The system tracks information on salary, benefits, education, awards, disabilities, retirement eligibility, and other human resources information. Privileges such as edit rights are set and controlled according to the organization's needs, as well as federal privacy requirements and data security standards. What does this mean? For agency personnel managers, it means being able to plan for personnel actions such as accessions, separations, pay increases, awards, training, and off-site details. EDiE also helps organizations manage their FTEs and personnel budgets in a variety of forms and formats. EDiE is the newest version of Visual Employee Database System (VEDS), our proprietary software program used to gather, view, manage and analyze human resources data. In addition to several new modules, EDiE is equipped with more standard reports, new payment information, tighter integration with Status of Funds, Internet Edition (SOFiE), and better tools to reconcile data from multiple sources. NetComm has long been an IT partner of private sector organizations, be they entrepreneurial ventures, multinational corporations, retailers, or trade associations. Many of our clients' businesses began with a vision. They drew upon our expertise to turn vision into reality. We have helped companies navigate through all aspects of Internet business and equipped them to identify, attract, and retain customers, while also helping them avoid common business and technology pitfalls. NetComm offers a full range of services that enable clients to make extensive use of the Internet to run their businesses and attract new customers. A cornerstone of this offiering is NetComm's proprietary CMS application architecture, known as FUZBox, a suite of tools that provide our clients with database-driven Web sites with robust capability. The application is totally Web-based, using Microsoft Active Server Pages for managing and displaying information, and a Microsoft SQL Server database to house information. Once the FUZBox has been implemented on the client's Web server, it is quick and simple to create and connect administrative components and incorporate any functionality that's needed. What does FUZBox do? Essentially, it allows content and Web site managers direct access to and complete control over site content. The system may include business process solutions, content tracking, reporting, and other functions. Users can modify the information administered in the system immediately and as often as necessary from any computer with Internet access. Because the FUZBox is a custom application, NetComm can offer only those components needed to fulfill the needs of the client's Web site. These management components-whether they already exist or are completely customized to solve a particular client need-can be integrated quickly and easily to meet the client's needs.
